Growing up on a farm in the mid west, one does learn to be resourceful in order to survive there. I learned much of my survival skills in that environment, for one does not know what curve ball nature and machine will throw. With an AA degree from bowling green state university in hand, I started on the ground floor as a pressman apprentice and worked my way up to shift supervisor and head of electrical maintenance for a family commercial printing business in the college town of oberlin.
In the spring of 1982, i purchased my first duplex and ten years later was on my way to financial independence which enabled me to leave my full time job and pursue my passion of investment real estate. In 1997, I packaged the sale of six apartment houses to do a 1031 exchange into a six unit apartment building in the Lake district. My specialty is working with first time home buyers/investers.
In my spare time, i value the beautiful coastal outdoors the the bay area offers in hiking, cycling, camping, and even just taking a leisurely drive. at a very early age, conservation was instilled prompting my further quest for alternative energy. one of the projects i have been working on the past five years is perfecting the conversion and running of diesels on vegetable oil. My next project down the pipeline is converting hybrids to plug in capacity and passive solar residential supplemental heating.
